Kaloo Review

Hi All

Well I guess if you are reading this then, like me, you have a new baby in the house? We have got 2 sons, one is currently 2 months and the other nearly 3 years old. Both of them were heavily in to being comforted, their desire to suck and stroke/hold things in their hand was obvious from really early on and, despite our initial thoughts, we had no choice but to give them both dummies and a special teddy to help them to settle themselves and get off to sleep.

Now a dummy is pretty much a dummy but special teddies come in all shapes and sizes. I think we found the perfect solution and both our sons already love their teddies and reach for them as soon as they need sleep, comfort or a bit more love.

The ones we chose are made by a company called Kaloo, they are luxuriously soft and have lots of different textures as well as a nice smiley face on them. They have little arms and legs, which seem to be the favourite part to twiddle with their fingers. So why are they so special and the right choice? well,

  1. our sons love them and affectionately call them their 'koo'
  2. they are washable
  3. they feel and look like very high quality
  4. they last, our have not broken despite much loving
  5. the company only seems to update designs fairly slowly so getting replacements hasn't been a problem (this can be crucial!)
  6. they are not too big to fit in your back pocket or bag (some of the alternatives are massive to carry around)
  7. there are different ones for boys and girls
  8. they are popular but not too popular, so you shouldn't see too many the same at nursery.

You can buy them through Amazon and I have included a few example links below.

I hope this Kaloo review is useful to you and they work as well for you too!
